Social Media and Black History Month at BlackFreelance!

Published: Sun, 02/07/16

Hi

How’s your February going so far?

If it’s going anything like mine, you’re getting back into a normal schedule after regrouping from the holidays, and really getting moving on your 2016. Since I’m looking to push my rates and client quality this year, this has meant more of a focus on networking, and social is a HUGE part of that.

It takes time to develop a productive social media presence for your freelance career, but once you do, you can see a massive change in your business. That’s why this month, I really want to encourage you to set some tangible social media goals, and to come and share them over in the forums (you’d be amazed at what a difference simply writing down your goals in a public place can make.)  Here are some of the suggestions for this month’s Growth Loop focus:

Beginner
Set up your freelancer social media accounts.

Intermediate
Start looking into social media management tools to simplify your posting and responses.

Advanced
Set up a LinkedIn profile for your freelance career.
In the meantime, check out our latest post on why social media matters so much to your career.
