Blog inspiration for your freelance site and starting a new month…
We’re closing out Social Media Month and I hope it’s been a great one for you.
I’ve seen some really good progress myself, but have also picked up on some areas that I need to improve on next time this focus rolls around. What about you?
As we move on, look at your social media presence and ask what it’s
really doing for your business. If it isn’t playing an active role in bringing you freelance business, read back through our
posts on social media as well as our
members-only pieces to help get you moving in the right
direction.
Resource Reminder
We talk about your freelance niche around here a lot, and that’s with good reason — not choosing a niche or area of specialization can leave you needlessly floundering and frustrated, ready to walk away from freelancing.
If you haven’t found your niche yet, or think you might need to specialize even more deeply, remember that as a member, you have access to
our Specialization Day Course here (login required.)
It doesn’t take long at all to complete, and can make all the difference in your freelance career (it did in mine.)
Blog Inspiration
List posts are one of those love/hate deals…they seem corny, but people
read them and they spread easily. That’s why sometimes it can be helpful to repackage even very deep and complex posts into list format.
To close out Social Media Month, try making a post of the top 5-10 social influencers in your niche…feature them in a post with links to their social handles and brief explanations of why they stand out.
Publish them on your social accounts and make sure to tag the people mentioned…you’re sure to get some
attention.
Growth Loop Goals
I got my social profiles updated and started seeing results in the form of more cold leads. If you’ve made progress on your social media goals this month, come post
over the forums and let
us know!
