I didn't want to add any extra messages to your inbox, so I'm condensing my quick results from website month with your job leads for the week.
...So I try to track the results changes I make so you can get the most useful information possible to improve your work as a freelancer. This past website month, I made the small change of adding some bigger name clients to the top of my portfolio page, and
mentioning them specifically at the beginning of my profiles. This is what happened...
- My click through rate on my site (portfolio page) jumped from 13% to 43%
- I'm having cold contacts specifically mention one of the companies
Sometimes I forget just how big a difference just changing the priority of information (and
not making people dig to find the info that will impress them most) can make.
Remember...while we might have themes around here, it's never a bad time to make powerful, small changes to your freelance web presences, so give it a shot yourself!
