Hey!
So you’ve worked through the month and gotten a bunch of new skills…that’s great and all, but what now?
Now, you let everybody know. There are a few, really simple ways you can do that.
- Announce it on social.
- Update your About Me section on your LinkedIn, freelance platforms, and your
website. (If you’re in process, add a “Current Education” or “Current Reading List” and keep it updated.)
- Email your clients to let them know what you’re working on, especially if it applies to them. For example, I have one former and two current clients on Hubspot. Once I complete the certification, I’m definitely going to let them know.
- If your class or program offers a badge or icon, make sure it’s visible on your website. Copyblogger, for example, offers badges for content
marketing certifications.)
Try one, try all four, but whatever you do, don’t hide all the great work you’ve done this month. You’re working every day to bring your freelance clients better service and they should know. (And don’t forget to raise your rates as soon as you start seeing results.)
