I had a call this week with a case study client…we were talking about ways to say thank you to our interview subjects for taking the time to answer questions.
It made me remember how much I LOVED getting gifts from vendors when I worked in an office…it also reminded me that’s it was time to send out client gifts!
I know this isn’t something all freelancers do, but I promise you, it will
make you stand out in the minds of your clients as thoughtful and genuinely invested in their business. (It’s also a great way to remind a dormant client that you’re around for work.)
Take this week to think about what you might want to send your people…it could be anything as simple as a $10 Amazon gift card or something bigger like one of those
extra fancy Edible Arrangements (that one’s 2 grand! Are people really paying this much for cut fruit?!) I opted for some
gold-covered champagne marshmallows that ran me about $30 per client…completely worth
it.
