Last week, we talked about identifying the skill that gets you more cash for your effort.

I want to ask you to focus on this for a little while, because it can literally change your freelance business. For me, learning to write case studies put me in a position to bring on bigger clients (I offered a suite of services that better met their needs), but it also gave me more confidence to pursue customers who could pay more.

My question to you this week is whether you’d be willing to really dive in, push yourself, and focus on that skill. I mean in figuring out what it is, developing it, and taking the time to find the clients who’ll be happy to pay you for it.

That can be intimidating though (I know…case studies scared me a lot at first), but you can get past it by looking for a course, book, or other resource to help yourself improve.

So this week’s challenge is to get on Google, Udemy, Amazon, even YouTube and to pick just one item that will help you improve…and let me know what it is! (I’d love to hear what you’re working on.)
