This week, a quick wave of familiar panic hit me. I hadn’t had one in a long time, but they were common when I first started freelance work.
I was worried that my biggest client could drop me at any time, leaving me scrambling for work.
My first instinct was to think of how this is just a part of freelancing, but really, any job can do that. Freelancing isn’t any less safe than
employment. We’re just trained to think a job automatically equals security (even though relying on an employer can be a even bigger risk than going out on your own.)
