Last week I said we’d be going to one of my favorite
copywriter’s sites, but uh…things change. People get booked, and sometimes, freelancers stop taking clients. That’s what’s happened with
Ed Gandia (I still suggest you take a look at his site if you’re a writer.)
So instead, we’re going to take a look at a Twitter buddy’s developer site.
The basic principles of our websites are simple and honestly apply across skillsets. Still though, it’s always good to look at a few different ones.
What I love most about Jacky’s site is how he gets STRAIGHT to the point of what he does well and how it benefits anyone who wants to work with him. I don’t believe he’s taking clients right
now, but that’s what’s so great about this…a good freelance site can also serve as a professional, personal branding site. In just two sentences (two!) he explains the benefit he offers…
“the ease of access for user security on the Web”
…and basically let’s you know who he works with…
“My mission is to carry out the objective of my ancestors and elders: to focus on the liberation of my people and the restoration
of the legacy of the descendants of the Afrikan Diaspora.”
That’s a clean explanation that answers quite a few questions any visitor might have.
You’ll also easily find his work, contact info, programming languages, and background with one click the “Work” link. Simple and informative is as good as it gets.
