Content Marketing Wednesday: Track those testimonials!

Testimonials build trust, so they’re something you want to keep an eye out for from day one.

It might seem a little awkward to ask, but let me tell you, I’ve never had anyone turn me down. Matter of fact, the last time I asked (this week) they asked if I’d like a full review.

The reason I think it works for me is that I always give them options…the option to stay completely anonymous (in which case I just describe their business), use only their first name, or full on hype their company. I also make sure to give them the option to say “no”.  

So if you’ve ever gotten a compliment from a client, record it then ask permission to use it on your site and in other materials. Those compliments a bigger part of your content marketing than you know.
