Your Marketing Tip of the Week
Use
LinkedIn to send short free letters of introduction.
You can blast out a ton of these in a day, especially if you use a short template that introduces yourself, tells who you work with (mention your niche!) and how to contact you.
Just search in your industry or for a specific position and include it in your introductory note when you go to connect. Worst case scenario, you get a bunch of new contacts who now know who you are
and what you do. (This only works on the desktop version though, not the app.)
Job Updates
Even if you don’t see something interesting in this email, don’t forget to click through and search for your keywords. (Also check out our
Where to Find Work page for new and old ideas in finding
work.)
Upwork: Brand video, email copywriting, and photo books work are featured this week on Upwork.
Indeed: Indeed’s been drifting away from the writer-rails lately! This week
they’ve got Japanese proofreading, home-based ESL work, and project management up for grabs.
Guru: I don’t know what’s up with Guru and the logo design, but it’s back this week along with some Facebook ads and web based software dev.
Freelance Writing Jobs:
Two healthcare writing jobs (somebody needs to come join me in this niche) and a remote senior graphic designer position (I guess FWJ is expanding beyond the W?)
Don’t forget that these are just highlights…check out all the
sites!
