I ran across
this article on Twitter (Thanks Tiffany!) about how HubSpot’s laser focus on inbound marketing might have ruined the concept for everybody.
Like the article says though, it hasn’t. What it has done, is lead a lot of people (and I mean a LOT) astray.
The point isn’t just to create
content. It’s to provide value for your readers and clients in the form of content. It’s to answer their biggest business problems and challenges in a thoughtful, provocative way.
If you focus on that…starting with value…you’ll drive more business for yourself, and if you’re a content marketer, your clients
too.
