So how’s your prospect list going? (You’re going to be so tired of me asking this by the end of the month, lol)
By now you should have at least 25, but if you don’t, no problem. You can always catch up.
This week, I want to cover one of my favorite tools in building prospect lists, and that’s Google.
I could probably get by without anything else because Google (or any search engine really) can be ridiculously useful.
Case in point: I heard a tip this week that focusing on the Creative Director title at agencies can be really productive in building long-term relationships that bring the work to you.
Since I’m in the B2B space, I did a search on B2B marketing agencies and one of the first things that came up? This list.
That one search brought up 65 prospects. Now all I have to do is grab one of my templates, search for them on LinkedIn, and send messages over.
You don’t even have to do all that though for this month’s exercise. Just drop them into this template, and you're done.
Remember, if you haven’t been able to get
around to prospecting, that’s fine, but it’s important to write down why. That’s because if you’re putting off building your freelance business, you should be able to state…out loud and clearly…what’s getting prioritized over your journey to career independence. No judgement, just honesty.
If you are having a hard time finding prospects, swing by the Skype group some time this week and I can help you out.
