This week we’re going to talk about a prospecting method that’s either going to be really comfortable, or really uncomfortable for you…and that’s tapping into
your network.
You know I’m a fan of LinkedIn, but all LinkedIn really is is a way to tap into and search in your network efficiently.
I use LinkedIn’s search functions to find specific people at companies who I want to introduce myself to and eventually, pitch my services. (This is where searching by title and industry in the filters section can be super
helpful.)
My LinkedIn overlaps with
my professional network from my employed life, but if yours doesn’t, take this week to reach out to people you know and ask them if they know anyone who might need your services. You just never know what might pop up.

So do you have your 100 prospects? If you do, congrats!
These are the people you’re going to start researching out to and making contact with. The most important thing to remember is that your next move isn’t a one-and-done kind of deal.
Use the prospecting template or even a CRM tool like Insightly or Streak to keep track of contacts and keep you following up on a regular basis (I like monthly if I don’t get a response).
Use the Scripts and Templates section of the Academy to get started, and if there’s anything missing that you’d like to see or if you need some help
putting your list into action come by the Skype group and let me know!
