Content marketing isn’t new, but a lot of industries and companies are just finding their way around it.
Take the results of this study for example.
Only 20% of respondents consider
themselves experts. That’s a lot of room for a lot of growth in a lot of organizations. This is what jumped out at me most though…
“Of the hundreds of decision makers polled, 52% say it’s a challenge to produce engage content. In addition, 43% cite lack of budget as an obstacle and 42% complain that it's difficult to measure the ROI of content marketing campaigns.”
So yeah, money is an obstacle, but the number one challenge? Producing engaging content. That means two things…if you work on your content creation skills, you can jump ahead of a lot of organizations out there, and if you sell
content creation yourself? A lot of folks out there need your support.
There are some more
interesting stats in the report, but the big lesson it that right now content marketing is on an upswing and companies are trying to play catch up. Use that to your advantage while you can.
