Hi
I just finished a podcast that
completely changed my perspective on income.
I'm one of the first to talk about treating your freelance work as a business, but I've been missing something really, really basic about that idea.
If you're an owner of a freelance business AND you're doing the work, you should be getting paid for both jobs, period. Ed Gandia covers the concept
on his latest podcast episode. It's geared toward advanced freelancers, but if you've got a free half an hour, it's really worth it.
My second favorite takeaway from it though, is the best freelance rate calculator I've ever seen.
You
can access it here, but I promise, after you've played with it some (especially the advanced version), you'll see your business in a completely different light. Most people I'm running across are coming up with results ranging from $60 to $100 an hour and it's giving them a nice, solid goal to aim for.
I've added a link
on your Academy
dashboard if you ever want to come back and try again, but it's totally worth checking out now. Have a great week!
