Pretty much every content marketing project I’ve worked on uses personas. (Full disclosure, I even use them here at BlackFreelance.)
Even in the corners of marketing where personas are passé, they kinda still exist.
I’ve never been fan of the ones that get too detailed (I’ve heard of some that specify things like what people like to drink), but a few personal details, like the ones used here, can be helpful. I LOVE the fact that these focus on goals and challenges and how the business helps the
persona navigate them.
There’s a lot you can do with them, but one of my favorite exercises is having imaginary conversations. That not only helps you paint a complete picture, but it also forces you interact…which is ultimately what business is all about.
