You’ve probably heard me say it a few times before, but one of my main goals as a freelancer? It’s to work less.
I want to do less for the same money (or more).
I want a calm schedule.
I want to banish busy-ness.
That’s hard for me though as a person who spent most of her 15+ year employed career thinking stressed, busy, and tired was normal.
That’s why, every six months when I do my personal evaluation, I think about how busy I am and what my schedule’s like.
Looking back over the last six months, I can see that I slipped up. I set a higher earnings goal and fell into the trap of doing more work to make more money (instead of raising my rates or focusing on high-paying projects.)
Now that I see it though, I can fix it.
What about you? How are your busy-ness levels doing, and most importantly, are you happy with them?
