Power Prospecting
Trade mags can be a great source of prospects…just look at who’s running ads, hosting events, and giving interviews.
Master Your Marketing
Social media isn’t enough. As great as it is, it’s just one tiny piece of your prospects’ lives. Make sure you’re touching them via email, their websites, and at in-person events…maybe even mail and phone.
Job Updates
Even if you don’t see something interesting in this email, don’t forget to click through and search for your keywords. (Also check out the Where to Find Work page for new and old ideas in finding work…remember that these sites
should just be a starting point!)
As always, these posts aren’t recommendations…remember to ask good questions and always work with a contract!
Upwork: Upwork’s got an interesting spot for a hair product formualter (different hair types), a C# programmer for a real estate web app, and a Somali interpreter for a
deposition.
Indeed:
NickiSwift is looking for a freelance writer, and I’m also seeing spots for virtual freelance paralegals (aviation law) and a remote delivery specialist.
Guru: Guru’s got gigs for digital illustration, AutoCAD product design, and fashion and scene element creation.
Freelance Writing Jobs: FWJ’s got a mix of writer/editor gigs, a spot for a marketing copywriter, and a scientific editor.
Don’t forget that these are just highlights to inspire your searches! Check out all the sites yourself — and one more time, these updates much be great, but this shouldn’t be your primary source of work. Get out there are get your prospecting game going!
