OK…real talk…so I saved this for last because it’s something I’ve REALLY slacked on myself.
I’m generally a pretty productive person, so I haven’t put much effort into getting to know productivity tools, and you know what? I’m paying for it.
I’m working with a coach right now to increase my productivity so I can double my average income without working more and I’m REALLY seeing that it’s something I probably should’ve started a while back.
Get to Know Productivity Tools
People gush over the Pomodoro method and there are ton of apps that support it.
For prioritization, I’ve really liked the 6 Things app, mostly because it really forces you to make choices and stay on track.
I’ve also used Evernote to keep track of ideas, Zapier to automate, and even a prioritization notepad like this one, but honestly haven’t
stuck with them.
Now that I have some goals tied to productivity, I’m expecting it to be much easier to narrow down a couple tools.
If you’re having a hard time landing on productivity tools or even deciding where to start, try setting a simple goal…something like shortening your work day, or putting a time limit on a certain client and see what fits those needs. With all the tools out there, it’s important to know what exactly you’re trying to get done.
