For some freelancers, having the wrong strategy is slowing them down from getting clients, but I don’t think that’s the most common problem. For most of us, our strategy issues come down to…
- Not having a strategy
- Having one and not applying it
- Hopping around too much to figure out whether it even works in the first place
If you haven’t chosen a strategy and settled on it long enough to evaluate it whether it’s reaching your goals
that’s probably a major reason you’re not getting clients.
Personally, I know that I don’t stick with a strategy unless I put the actual tactics and activities on a calendar. If you aren’t moving forward, it might be time to shift your perspective and treat your strategy work like a manager would.
