At what point is it safe to sell during the content marketing process?
It’s generally known to be a bad idea to kick things off with asking for people’s money…but what about after that?
People have a lot of different thoughts on this, with some thinking it’s ok to move in as early as possible and other waiting until later. I know I’ve heard a ton of different advice from sales people, but personally, I’ve found that the question is less about the marketing (or content marketing process) than it is about your prospect.
Buyers are on their own journey and aren’t going to be ready to buy just because you write a great blog post or amazing case study.
The trick, is learning to feel their processes out, offer them the content they need to get past no and build confidence, and then make buying as easy as possible.
