We’ve been doing a marketing Check-Up this month, but honestly, there’s a pandemic going on. There are more important questions.
I hope you’re ready to stock up and do social distancing when and if you can, but beyond that let’s cover some business questions you might want to think about as we move into uncharted territory.
Sit down and try to answer these questions, and if want to talk them out, come drop by the Academy group.
- How can I expect my niche to shift and change in response to the outbreak? (Especially if you’re in hospitality, events, travel, or locally based, etc.) Should I consider branching out in the near future to make sure I’m sustainable?
- If I’m healthy, should I be pushing my income goals to create more of a cushion in case I need to take time off for my health or someone else’s?
- Is my current work setup sustainable for the indefinite future? What do I need to order or buy now to make sure that stays true?
- Is there anyone around me who I can (safely) help if my work and income are unaffected?
- Am I taking care of my mental health to avoid panic or overreaction?
There’s a lot going on, but as freelancers, we have flexibility to take advantage of that many people don’t. Let’s make sure we’re using it and doing what we can with what we have.
